Dating back to 18th century, the building housing the five star Radisson SAS Royal Hotel in St Petersburg has a colourful history. The interior of the building was completely reconstructed in 2001, and the original facade has been restored to its former glory, retaining original features, many of which are almost 300 years old.

The five-star Radisson SAS Royal Hotel is a 4-story building opened as a hotel after complete reconstruction in 2001. Dating from 1730, the building has a rich history and is thought to be one of the first buildings to be erected in this part of the city. The original interior was demolished, but the unique facade has been preserved, retaining over 200 years of history. A beautiful glass dome lets the daylight shine into the two-storied lobby. The hotel is located in the city centre and is not far from the Hermitage, the Russian Museum and other places of interest. The international airport "Pulkovo II" is about a 40 minute drive.
